  • Please create an account ID and password.
 
 
  • Please choose the mode of study and programme as stated in the form.
 
 
  • Please complete the other required information or otherwise your online application form could not be sent to us.
 
 
  • If you would like to change any information that you have keyed in, you can click Update Application by key in your ID and password. However, if you have already sent the data, your access to update any of the data that you have keyed in will automatically be denied. At this moment, you need to contact the university to update any of the data that you have sent previously.
 
 
  • Therefore, if you wish to change/update the information in the online application form, please do so before you send it the Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS).
 
 
  • Upon completing the online application, print two copies of the application. One copy is for your personal reference and the other is to be sent to CPS together with the other relevant documents (as per the checklist)
 
 
  • Upon receiving your application form and documents, we will send you an e-mail regarding the status of your application.
 
 
  • Completed application forms with the relevant documents that are sent to CPS will be treated as a genuine application and processed.
 
 
  • All certificates must be certified true copies. If your certificates are in a language other than English and Bahasa Melayu, an English version translated by a certified translator is required.
 
 
  • If we do not receive any documents from you after 2 weeks from the date that you submit the online application form, we will send to you another email requesting you to furnish us with the documents or otherwise your application will be automatically cancelled after another 2 weeks retention period.
 
 
  • If we receive your online application form within the last 2 weeks before the due date of a particular intake, you will be receiving 2 emails.
 
 
  • Upon receiving the documents, CPS will e-mail your application status to notify you whether your application is complete or incomplete.
 
 
  • For the incomplete applications, a maximum period (calculated from the date of the deadline of every intake) of one week is given for the applicants to respond. Therefore, you are given another week’s notice from the retention period before your records are removed.
 
 
  • Please be reminded that failure to respond within the stipulated period will result in the automatic removal of your records from the system.
 
 
  • You may check the status of your application via the Check Application link by keying in your account ID and password (please use the account ID and password for queries pertaining to your status of the online application).
 
 
  • If the application is successful, you can print the standard offer letter from the system. A formal offer letter will also be sent to you. This will also apply to the rejected and KIV (Keep In View) applications.
 
 
  • The deadline for submission of admission application forms for all international applicants is as follows:

  • This deadline, however, is not applicable to:

      • Malaysians,
      • Former IIUM international students whose student passes are still valid until admission into the postgraduate programme, and
      • Other applicants who have already received student passes from other universities/institutions which are still valid for admission into the postgraduate programme in the IIUM
 
 
  • Any application forms received after the deadline will be processed for the next intake. However, in the event that your application is submitted after the deadline for the particular intake and you would like to register in the said intake, a payment of RM 600 must be prepared in advance for the Journey Performed Visa. You will also need to inform CPS in writing and the office will process your application provided that you support your application with the required documents.
 
 
  • Please be advised that you may apply for the third semester only if you are in the following cases:
    • You have no TOEFL/IELTS and graduated from non-English speaking countries
    • The mode of your intended programme is by research only

      The third semester is also known as the short semester and comprises only 7 weeks of studies.

 
     
 
  • Please be reminded that the university is not responsible for your accommodation should you arrived earlier than the date of enrolment as per stated in your offer letter.
